This flower park in Kami-Yubetsu, Yubetsu Town, covers a total area of 12.5 hectares, with 7 hectares planted with about 700,000 tulips of roughly 200 varieties. Every May, the Tulip Fair held here draws large crowds, and it's known as a representative flower spot of Yubetsu Town. Taking a leisurely walk through the spacious grounds lets you feel Yubetsu Town's shift from summer to autumn while relaxing until the evening's fireworks festival.
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Michi-no-Eki Ai Land Yubetsu. Bloom timing varies from year to year, so visiting during peak season lets you enjoy especially beautiful scenery. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour needed. The afternoon, when the sunlight softens a bit, is easier for strolling.
