The lake shore of Saroma Lake, a brackish lake boasting Japan's third largest surface area. From the lake shore on the Yubetsu Town side, you can take in a wide view of the gently spreading lake surface, and enjoy scenery with Okhotsk's characteristic grand scale. Known also for scallop farming, spend a leisurely time feeling the calm atmosphere of the quiet waterside.

湧別川河川敷緑地のせせらぎ広場特設会場で開催される、夏から秋への移り変わりを告げる花火大会です。19時から約2,500発の花火が湧別の夜空を彩り、川のせせらぎとともに響く花火の音が心地よく響きます。コスモスの開花時期に合わせた、地域らしい温かみのある花火大会です。
Tips
荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日は湧別町の公式発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでから帰路につくのがおすすめです。

About 10 minutes by car from Cosmos Street Road. The lake shore has little shade from sunlight, so bring a hat and sun protection. It cools down toward evening, so a light layer is reassuring.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. The calm lake surface just before evening is especially beautiful.
