About this spot

This park sits on high ground overlooking downtown Yawatahama, and its observation deck offers a sweeping view of the port town's rooftops and the calm waters of the Uwakai Sea. It is also known as a cherry blossom spot and is loved by locals throughout the four seasons. Viewing the port where tonight's fireworks will launch from this high vantage point during the day makes it easier to picture your evening viewing spot. The lush, green grounds also offer shady places to rest even during the hot summer hours.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Michi-no-Eki Minato Oasis Yawatahama Minatto. There is a slope leading up to the observation deck, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Remember to stay hydrated in the summer.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. Early afternoon, when the air is clear, is the best time to enjoy the view.
