About this spot

A museum unique to Murakami City, known as a salmon town, introducing the lifecycle of salmon, traditional fishing methods, and food culture. In the aquariums inside the hall, you can observe salmon swimming in real-time, and depending on the season, you may see them swimming upstream in the river. A valuable spot where families can learn while enjoying Murakami's salmon culture, which has continued for over 1,000 years.

清流として知られる荒川の河川敷を舞台に開催される、村上市の夏の風物詩です。打ち上げ数は公表されていませんが、川面に映り込む花火の光と、澄んだ夜空に広がる大輪の花火が織りなす景色は格別。鮭で知られる清流のほとりで見上げる花火は、村上の自然の豊かさを感じさせてくれます。城下町の歴史散策から一転、夜は川辺で花火を見上げる、1日の締めくくりにふさわしい時間になります。

Tips

会場周辺は当日大変混雑するため、早めに到着して場所を確保するのがおすすめです。荒天時は中止や順延の可能性があるため、当日は主催者の公式発表を確認しましょう。足元が暗いエリアもあるため、小さなライトがあると安心です。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Murakami Castle Ruins. The hall has air conditioning, making it a comfortable place to visit on a hot summer afternoon. The exhibits change seasonally, so it's recommended to check ahead.
