栃尾の山あいにある鳩峰・タカ待場を舞台に開催される、地元で長く親しまれてきたとちお祭大花火大会です。打ち上げ数は公表されていませんが、山に囲まれた立地のため花火の音が周囲に反響し、体の芯まで響く迫力を楽しめます。歴史ある城跡や寺社をめぐった1日の締めくくりにふさわしい、山あいならではのスケール感のあるフィナーレです。

会場周辺は道が限られるため、当日は早めに到着して場所を確保するのがおすすめです。荒天時は中止や順延の可能性があるため、当日は主催者の公式発表を確認しましょう。山道は帰りに暗くなるため、懐中電灯を必ず用意しましょう。

About 10 minutes by car from Nagaoka Tochio Art Museum. Since the temple grounds have unpaved areas, comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
