A bathing beach in the Uchino district, beloved by local families from summer into early autumn. As evening approaches, the sunlight softens and the ocean breeze becomes pleasant. Since Shinkawa Fishing Harbor, where tonight's fireworks will be held, is very close by, this is a perfect place to get a feel for the evening atmosphere of the sea.

新潟市西区の新川漁港を舞台に開催される「日本海ゆうひ花火」です。打ち上げ数は公表されていませんが、日本海に夕日が沈んだあとの澄んだ夜空に花火が広がる、初秋ならではの落ち着いた雰囲気が魅力です。漁港という小規模な会場だからこそ、花火を間近に感じられるのもこの大会ならでは。湿地や海辺の自然を楽しんだ1日の締めくくりにふさわしい、静かで美しいフィナーレです。
