Walking along the top of the dike allows you to enjoy the breeze from the river and expansive farmland scenery—perfect for a summer stroll. Information boards share historical flood-control innovations, revealing the deep connection between the river and the people. Viewing the Sakawa River during the day, where fireworks will light up the sky tonight, adds extra anticipation to the evening's show.

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日は開成町の公式発表で確認を。会場周辺の駐車場は台数が限られるため、早めの到着がおすすめです。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、しばらく余韻を楽しんでからの帰宅がスムーズです。

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Kaiseimachi Ajisai no Sato. Parts of the riverside path are unpaved, so wear comfortable walking shoes. There is little shade, so bring water for hydration in summer. The next stop, Michi-no-Eki Ashigara, is about 15 minutes by car.
