On the day of the fireworks display, the Samegawa riverbed (鮫川河川敷) fills with local food stalls and festive energy from early evening. After returning from Nakoso Beach, spread out your leisure sheet to secure a viewing spot while having dinner from the food stalls. The time when the sunset reflects on the river surface becomes a leisurely wait until the fireworks begin.

2026年8月29日(土)19時から開催される、いわき市南部の夏を彩る花火大会です。鮫川の河川敷から約2,000発の花火が次々と打ち上がり、静かな川面に光が映り込む様子も見どころのひとつです。出店のにぎわいの中、レジャーシートに座って見上げる花火は、夏の締めくくりにふさわしい光景です。開けた河川敷なので、家族連れでもゆったりと観覧できます。
Tips
荒天時は中止・順延となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の発表で確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いので、スマホのライトがあると安心です。
Tips
From evening onward on the day of the fireworks display, the surrounding roads become very congested. It's recommended to get food early before the stalls get crowded. Please take your trash with you.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. The time around sunset, watching the changing colors of the river surface, is especially recommended.
