This beach in Happo Town is known for its clear water, typical of the Sea of Japan, and its quiet sandy shore. In summer, it bustles with families enjoying swimming, and it's the perfect place to spend time with kids, playing leisurely in the shallows or searching for seashells. Taking a look during the day at the sea where tonight's fireworks will light up connects the story of the whole day.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Akita-Shirakami Station. If you plan to swim, check in advance whether lifeguards are present and the official swimming season. The summer sun is strong, so don't forget sun protection and to stay hydrated.

About 1 hour 30 minutes. You can enjoy swimming under the soft afternoon sunlight.
