About this spot

This roadside station in the town of Tabira offers fresh local vegetables, fruit, and souvenirs unique to Hirado. As its name suggests, it also features insect-related exhibits, making it a fun stop for families. With a rest area and a light-meal corner, it's a good spot for a break in the early afternoon. It's also a good chance to sample a bit of Hirado's local specialties before the fireworks festival.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Tabira Catholic Church (田平天主堂). The parking lot tends to fill up during busy hours, so an early visit is reassuring. It's about a 20-minute drive to the next stop, Hirado Castle (平戸城), crossing the Hirado Bridge.

About 1 hour. Early afternoon tends to be relatively uncrowded.
