This art museum showcases the works of Takei Takeo, a picture-book artist born in Okaya City. It features a gentle, fantastical world of picture-book art that visitors of all ages, from children to adults, can enjoy. The museum is compact and easy to walk through, and it's also a nice place to cool off during the hot summer hours. It's close to Okaya Station, making it a great spot to start the course.

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from JR Okaya Station (JR岡谷駅). The museum isn't usually very crowded, but it's worth checking the special exhibition content in advance for peace of mind. It's about a 10-minute walk to the next stop, the shore of Lake Suwa (諏訪湖畔).
