Held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, this fireworks festival takes place at the multipurpose plaza at Okaya Kohan Park (岡谷湖畔公園多目的広場) on the shore of Lake Suwa (諏訪湖). About 2,000 fireworks launch into the night sky, and you can enjoy the 'upside-down fireworks' reflected on the calm surface of Lake Suwa. The echo of the sound, unique to a basin surrounded by mountains, adds even more impact. It's a fitting lakeside finale to a day spent fully enjoying Okaya.
