This is a Jizo statue beloved in Saku City, named for the wish to 'stay lively and healthy (pin-pin), then pass away peacefully (korori)'. Small Jizo statues line the grounds, and a steady stream of worshippers come to pray for their family's health. It is not flashy, but as a place of faith rooted in local people's daily lives, it offers a quiet, peaceful moment.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Sakudaira Station (佐久平駅). The parking lot has limited spaces, so watch out for surrounding roads when it is busy. It is about a 15-minute drive to the next stop, Tatsuoka Castle Goryokaku (龍岡城五稜郭).

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. Around midday, it is relatively quiet and calm for a visit.
