This shopping street spreads out around JR Ina-shi Station (JR伊那市駅), dotted with local diners, sweet shops, and general stores. Fitting for the center of the Ina Valley, many shops serve the local specialty noodle dish 'Romen' (ローメン). It's a good area for snacks or shopping before the fireworks festival, letting you take a relaxed walk while getting a feel for local daily life.
Tips
From the Midokaito-juku Honjin Ruins (御堂垣外宿本陣跡), you'll head back toward central Ina. Allow extra time for travel. It's about a 10-minute drive to the Tenryu River (天竜川) riverbed as evening approaches.
