Held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, this is the climax of the Cooling Fireworks Festival that closes out summer in Mori Town. Fireworks launched from the Ota River riverbed echo powerfully thanks to the surrounding mountainous terrain, giving them an impact quite different from fireworks festivals held in urban areas. It's a summer tradition of Mori Town where locals gather with family and friends. A night sky befitting the close of a day that began with a tour of shrines and temples.

Held rain or shine in light rain, but cancelled (not postponed) in severe weather. Check the organizer's (Mori Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry) announcement to confirm whether the event will go ahead. Roads in the area get crowded after the show ends, so it's recommended to enjoy the afterglow for a while before leaving in a staggered manner.
