About this spot

This waterfront park is developed on the Ota River riverbed, lined with gateball courts and a ground golf course, and serves as a relaxing spot for local residents. The large lawn plaza is also equipped to double as a helipad, giving it a role as an activity base in the event of a disaster. In the evening, local families gather here, spreading out leisure sheets to relax. Food stalls also appear nearby, so you can pick up dinner while leisurely waiting for the show to begin.

Tips

Within walking distance of the old town area home to Guesthouse Mori to Machi (ゲストハウス森と町). Since it becomes hard to see your footing after dark, it's reassuring to bring a flashlight or your phone's light. Arriving around 4 PM is recommended if you want to secure a good spot.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 30 minutes. You can also enjoy watching the sky's colors change toward sunset.
