About this spot

This mixed-use complex stands at the north exit of JR Iwata Station (磐田駅). Built to replace the former shopping street, it was developed to bring together urban functions that meet the diverse needs of visitors, and together with the station building it was designed with a unified image themed around Tenpyo-era culture. The building houses a Yamaha Motor office, dental and obstetrics / gynecology clinics, the Iwata City Learning Exchange Center (磐田市学習交流センター), and more. The Silhouette Tower (シルエットタワー) in the north station plaza lights up in seven colors at night. On festival day, the area around the station gets lively from evening onward, making it a convenient meeting spot before heading to the venue.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from the Museum of Fragrance (香りの博物館), and within walking distance of Iwata Station. The area starts getting crowded with festival-bound crowds in the evening, so an earlier stroll goes more smoothly.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. The calmer time before evening is easiest for walking around.
