A spectacular viewing spot overlooking vast tea fields spread across the Makinohara Plateau. The landscape of green furrows running in layers, unique to Makinohara as one of Japan's leading tea-producing regions, is truly impressive. On clear days, you can see as far as the sea of Sagara, and the park features an old steam locomotive display that children also enjoy. Before the fireworks festival, this is a starting point where you can feel the rich nature of Makinohara.

2026年9月5日(土)開催、牧之原市相良の夜空を彩るさがら海上花火大会のクライマックスです。相良港沖から打ち上がる約1,173発の花火は、海に反射して二重の輝きを見せてくれます。茶畑の里として知られる牧之原ならではの、山と海の両方を感じられる立地で楽しむ花火は格別。1日かけて巡った牧之原の魅力を締めくくる、華やかな夜空です。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は牧之原市の公式発表で確認しましょう。終了後は駐車場・周辺道路が混み合うため、余韻を楽しんでから時間差での退場がおすすめです。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Sagara Port. Since there is little shade around the observation deck, remember to bring a hat and sunscreen. Parking is well-equipped.
