This history museum tells the story of the castle town governed by Tanuma Okitsugu's Sagara Domain (相良藩) during the Edo period. Through materials on Sagara Castle and exhibits related to the area's history, you can learn about the origins of Makinohara and Sagara. Located on the way from Makinohara Park to the Sagara city area, it's a spot for enjoying a historical stroll, a change of pace from the tea-field views.
