About this spot

This is a lifelong-learning hub for the Kishimoto area of Hoki Town, completed in 1975 and expanded and renovated in 2011. The first floor has a library with general and children's book shelves and a study corner, a town hall usable for gatherings and exhibits, a cooking training room, and a Japanese-style room, while the second floor houses a large conference room with a movable stage. On the evening of the fireworks festival, food stalls and vendors line the area around the venue, making it a perfect time to grab a bite while enjoying the evening cool. As the sun sets, lights come on at the Bon Odori tower, and the festive atmosphere builds.

Tips

Parking and nearby roads get crowded from the evening onward, so arrive early if you're driving. It's a good idea to pick up drinks and snacks before reaching the venue.

About 1 hour 30 minutes. The changing colors of the sky around sunset and the building festival atmosphere are highlights
