About this spot

A roadside station (michi-no-eki) on the coast of Tarumizu City, Kagoshima Prefecture, known for its free footbath overlooking Kinko Bay. It is a luxurious spot where you can soothe your travel fatigue while leisurely gazing at Sakurajima across the water. Inside, local produce, seafood, and gourmet dishes made with Tarumizu's famous kanpachi (amberjack) are on offer, perfect for filling up. Before the fireworks display, take some time to relax here first.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive to the venue. It is handy to bring a towel for the footbath. It can get crowded during summer vacation, so an early afternoon visit is recommended.
