About this spot

A tourist information center located in downtown Nishinoomote. In addition to providing local information, it also serves as a rest spot, equipped with free Wi-Fi and parking. It's sometimes rented out as a venue for events and workshops, becoming a place where locals and travelers mingle. It's not a flashy tourist attraction, but it serves as a starting point for exploring the town at the relaxed pace unique to a remote island. On a summer afternoon, it's a good place to take a break from the sun while deciding where to head next.

Tips

Within walking distance of the Teppo-kan (Gun Museum). Since shop hours vary by store, visit earlier in the day if you have a particular place in mind. Nishinoomote Port is about a 10-minute walk from here.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. The time when the afternoon sun starts to soften is comfortable for walking.
