Perched on a hilltop in northern Yokkaichi, this park features a large roller slide that takes full advantage of the terrain. From the observation plaza, visitors can enjoy views of the city's streetscape and the distant Ise Bay. 四日市市富田一色町の鳥出神社に江戸時代から伝わる、国の重要無形民俗文化財に指定された勇壮な祭りです。鯨をかたどった木製の山車「鯨船」を若者たちが担ぎ、「ヤーレ」の掛け声とともに境内から町なかを練り歩きます。かつて捕鯨で栄えた地域の歴史と、豊漁への感謝の気持ちが込められた行事で、2026年は9月26日(土)・27日(日)の2日間開催されます。担ぎ手の熱気と観客の歓声が一体となる様子は、四日市の秋を代表する風物詩です。
Tips
鯨船が練り歩くルート周辺は混雑するため、見学場所は早めに確保しましょう。近鉄富田駅または近鉄富田一色駅から徒歩でのアクセスがおすすめです。
Tips
The slide covers considerable distance, so bring a change of clothes and towel for convenience. The walk from the parking lot to the play area involves an uphill slope, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
Best time to visit
Allow about 50 minutes. The afternoon hours, when sunlight is less intense, are most enjoyable for play.
