The central station of Amagasaki on the Hanshin Electric Railway, and a perfect base before heading to Kifune Shrine. Restaurants cluster around the station, so having an early dinner here before the evening's Danjiri Festival is a good idea. As evening approaches, you will start to spot people in yukata heading to the festival, building anticipation for the night ahead.
Tips
On the night of the festival, the area around Kifune Shrine gets very crowded and roads may be closed to vehicles. Using public transportation is recommended. Using the restroom here as well will make getting around the venue smoother.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. The late afternoon hours, before the festival's peak approaches, are relatively calm.
