About this spot

This is a scenic spot within town where you can see Mt. Yotei, also known as 'Ezo Fuji', in the distance. The mountain's beautiful form, spreading out to its base beyond the rural farmland, is one of the views you'll definitely want to capture in a photo when visiting Kimobetsu. On clear summer afternoons, the mountain's outline can be seen sharply all the way in the distance.

Tips

Scenic spots are often located along roadsides, so when parking, choose a spot that won't obstruct traffic. Depending on the weather, clouds can sometimes cover the summit, so it's a good idea to visit with plenty of time to spare.
