White Lighthouse at the Easternmost Point of Kanto with a View of the Pacific
About this spot
A representative white stone lighthouse standing at the easternmost point of Kanto. It was selected as one of 'Japan's 50 Lighthouses' and is one of only a few lighthouses in Japan where visitors can actually climb the spiral stairs inside and enjoy a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. The surrounding area features rocky shores and walking paths, and you can enjoy scenic walks while viewing the lighthouse. This is a spot with majestic views worthy of beginning your Choshi tour.

銚子の夏を彩る「銚子みなとまつり」の中でも大きな見どころとなる、みこしパレードです。2026年8月9日、銚港神社を出発した神輿が白幡神社を経て銚子市役所周辺まで練り歩き、威勢のよい掛け声とともに港町を活気づけます。関東最東端の港町ならではの熱気あふれる神輿渡御を、灯台や断崖、レトロな町並みをめぐった1日の締めくくりとして楽しめます。
Tips
パレードのルート周辺は交通規制が行われることがあるため、公共交通機関の利用がおすすめです。人出が多くなる時間帯もあるので、小さな子ども連れは手をつないで移動しましょう。夜は海からの風で肌寒くなることがあるので羽織ものがあると安心です。

The interior features continuous spiral stairs, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The observation deck can be windy, so secure hats and other items. There are also shops and food establishments nearby.

Approximately 1 hour. Morning through midday offers clear skies and distant views.
