Byobujikaura (屏風ヶ浦)

Flow of the course

About this spot

A sea cliff stretching about 10 kilometers from Choshi to Asahi, with rugged scenery also known as 'Dover of the Orient'. The succession of cliffs dozens of meters high along the coastline is spectacular and offers a striking contrast with the waves of the Pacific Ocean from observation points. Experience a different kind of dynamic natural beauty compared to Inubosaki Lighthouse.

Tips

For safety, view from designated observation spots rather than getting too close to the cliffs. During summer, protect yourself from strong sunlight with hats and bring plenty to drink. Walking from the parking area to the observation point is required.

Best time to visit

Approximately 40 minutes. Early afternoon offers beautiful shadows and contrasts as the light hits the cliffs.
