A historic streetscape with over 400 years as a center of Kishu lacquerware production, featuring narrow alleys lined with traditional wooden houses that preserve a unique aesthetic. Streets lined with houses featuring distinctive "Hinomaru-ya" style roofs evoke the lacquerware heritage with every step. Lacquerware shops dot the area, offering everything from everyday utensils to fine crafts. The eaves of the traditional houses provide shade, making the streets comfortable for summer strolling.

海南市の春日神社を会場に、2026年8月1日から15日までの期間中、境内に多数の風鈴が飾られる夏の風物詩です。夕方から夜にかけて涼やかな風鈴の音色が境内を包み、真夏の暑さの中でひととき涼を感じられる時間になります。色とりどりの風鈴が風に揺れる様子は見た目にも涼しく、写真映えする景色としても人気です。地元の人々が長く大切にしてきた、静かで情緒あふれる夏の行事です。

Tips

開催期間中の日没後は蚊が多いことがあるため、虫よけを持参すると安心です。境内は舗装されていない箇所もあるので、歩きやすい靴がおすすめです。
