紀三井寺で毎年8月9日から10日にかけて行われる千日詣は、この日に参拝すると千日分参拝したのと同じ功徳が得られるとされる特別な行事です。2026年は8月9日20時から龍宮乙姫行脚の儀が行われ、20時30分からは福棒投げも予定されています。昼間に上った231段の石段が、夜には提灯の灯りに照らされ、まったく異なる幻想的な表情を見せてくれます。多くの参拝客で賑わう境内は、和歌山の夏の夜を象徴する光景のひとつです。
Tips
夜間の石段は足元が見えにくいため、懐中電灯やスマートフォンのライトがあると安心です。混雑が予想されるため、はぐれないよう子どもと手をつないで移動しましょう。福棒投げに参加する場合は小銭の準備があると安心です。

The Senninichi Mairi night can draw crowds around Kii Miiji Temple, so start moving around 7 PM to allow plenty of time. Use the restroom during this time as well.
