This summer Bon-dance festival is beloved by residents of northern Ikoma City. Held at Kita Community Center ISTA Habataki, in 2026 it runs from 16:00 to 20:00 on Sunday, August 30, with a circle of dancers forming around the central yagura tower. It's a participatory festival with the theme of ‘built together by everyone’, offering not only Bon dancing but also dance performances, festival stalls, and a yukata-dressing corner, all with free admission. Its charm lies in the warm, community-rooted atmosphere, which makes it easy even for first-time visiting families to join the circle.
