A wooden lighthouse standing along the Sumon River, symbolizing Ogaki's past as a hub of river transportation. Willows sway near the lighthouse, and the townscape reflected in the river evokes the atmosphere of the 'City of Water.' Close to the Musubi no Chi Memorial Hall, this waterside walking path lets visitors experience Ogaki's history firsthand.

「水の都・大垣」を象徴するまつりとして、大垣駅通りや本町通り、水門川一帯を会場に開かれる夏の一大行事です。会場には多くの屋台が並び、夕方から夜にかけて多くの家族連れでにぎわいます。水路沿いに提灯が灯る大垣ならではの夜景と、まつりのにぎわいが重なる特別な雰囲気を味わえます。
Tips
会場周辺は夕方から夜にかけて大変混雑するため、駅通りや水門川沿いの人の流れに沿ってゆっくり移動しましょう。屋台での買い物には小銭を多めに用意しておくと便利です。

A short walk from the Memorial Hall. The riverside path has sections with little shade, so bring a hat or sunshade during summer.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 40 minutes. Late afternoon offers a pleasant time when the golden light shimmers on the river surface.
