This summer festival is held as part of the Momotaro Festival, set against Okayama Castle, also known as Ujo (Crow Castle) for its black exterior. Many food stalls line the venue, drawing crowds of families from evening into night. The sight of the black castle keep lit up at night alongside the glow of lanterns is one of the scenes that symbolizes Okayama's summer.

Tips
The area around the venue gets very crowded from evening into night, so move slowly along with the flow of people, such as toward the Korakuen side or along the Asahi River. It is convenient to bring plenty of small change for shopping at the food stalls.
Best time to visit
From the 17:00 start. After 18:00, once the sun has set and the castle keep is lit up, it feels most like a festival.
