An arcade shopping street that extends from the foot of Matsue Bridge, lined with shops selling Matsue's famous clam dishes and Japanese sweets. Since the Toro Nagashi venue at Matsue Bridge and Shirakatacho Park is just a short walk away, it's convenient to have dinner here before heading to the festival. In the evening, you'll start to see people in yukata heading toward the festival.

とうろう流しは、宍道湖と中海を結ぶ大橋川の流れを舞台に、松江大橋周辺・白潟公園で行われるお盆の伝統行事です。2026年は8月16日に開催され、先祖の霊を送るために灯りをともした灯籠が次々と川面に浮かべられ、暗くなった川をゆらゆらと流れていきます。国宝・松江城や水の都・松江の風景と重なり合う幻想的な光景は、夏の終わりを静かに感じさせてくれる、家族で心に残るひとときになります。

橋の上や川沿いは夜になると混雑するため、早めの場所取りがおすすめです。荒天時の開催可否は主催者の発表を確認してください。
