During Awa Odori season, the entire shopping street is filled with festival atmosphere, with lanterns decorating shop fronts creating a special ambiance.

During Awa Odori season, evenings are very crowded; arriving early is recommended. Traffic restrictions are in place around performance venues; follow staff directions when moving.
