400年余りの歴史を持つ、日本を代表する盆踊り「阿波おどり」の本場・徳島市での開催です。2026年は8月11日から15日までの5日間、藍場浜演舞場をはじめ市内各所の演舞場で18時から22時にかけて開催され、県内外から集まった連が次々と踊りを披露します。鉦・三味線・太鼓・笛による「ぞめき」のリズムに乗って、男踊りの力強さ、女踊りの優雅さ、子ども連の元気な踊りが目の前を通り過ぎ、見る者を自然と踊りの世界へ引き込みます。「踊る阿呆に見る阿呆、同じ阿呆なら踊らな損損」の掛け声そのままに、街全体が一体となる夜です。
Tips
有料演舞場は事前にチケットを購入すると着席で観覧できます。無料演舞場や街角では立ち見での観覧となり、早めの場所取りが必要です。当日は広範囲で交通規制がかかるため、公共交通機関の利用がおすすめです。

During Awa Odori season, evenings are very crowded; arriving early is recommended. Traffic restrictions are in place around performance venues; follow staff directions when moving.
Best time to visit
Approximately 50 minutes. Late afternoon around 5 p.m. allows for more relaxed dining.
