今治市大西町の大西公民館で開かれる、地域あげての夏まつりです。2026年は8月15日(土)の開催で、会場となる公民館の駐車場や敷地内には屋台が並び、焼きそばやかき氷といった夏祭りらしい食べ物や飲み物の香りが漂います。夕方から夜にかけては盆踊りの輪が広がり、地元の子どもたちから大人まで、世代を超えて祭りを楽しむ姿が見られます。しまなみ海道の玄関口として海の景色を存分に味わった1日の締めくくりに、地域に根ざしたあたたかい夏の夜を過ごしてください。

会場周辺は夕方以降混み合うため、徒歩や自転車でのアクセスがおすすめです。屋台は現金での支払いが基本となることが多いため、小銭を多めに用意しておくと安心です。夜は海からの風で涼しく感じることもあるため、薄手の羽織ものがあると快適に過ごせます。
