About this spot

A riverside promenade developed along the Gojo River that flows through central Iwakura City. While it's crowded with people in spring as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, in summer the lush green trees create a comfortable shade tunnel, allowing you to walk leisurely while listening to the babbling river. It's a walking path where you can enjoy nature up close, characteristic of the compact town of Iwakura.

岩倉市のアデリア総合体育文化センター駐車場で開かれる、市民手作りの夏祭りです。2026年は8月21日(金)・22日(土)の開催で、その初日を訪れます。17時30分からは「いわくらdeナイトマルシェ」が始まり、フードやドリンク、ゲームブースが並ぶ夜市の雰囲気を楽しめるのが大きな魅力です。夜になると盆おどりの輪が広がり、地元の子どもから大人まで一緒になって踊る、コンパクトな町ならではのアットホームな夏祭りの夜を過ごせます。

Tips

駐車場は会場としても利用されるため、来場は公共交通機関や徒歩がおすすめです。マルシェのブースは現金での支払いが中心のため、小銭を多めに用意しておくと安心です。夜は屋外での立ち見が中心となるため、うちわなどで涼をとりながら過ごしましょう。

Tips

The road is paved and easy to walk, though some sections have limited shade, so don't forget to hydrate during summer. The path is wide enough to walk with a stroller. Insects may be more active near the river during certain seasons, so insect repellent would be helpful.
