A promenade built along the Gojo River, which flows through the center of Iwakura City. In spring, it bustles with visitors as a famous cherry blossom spot, but in summer, the tunnel of deep green trees creates pleasant shade, allowing for a leisurely walk while listening to the murmur of the river. It's a walking path where you can enjoy familiar nature, characteristic of the compact town of Iwakura.

Tips

The path is paved and easy to walk, but some sections have little shade, so be sure to stay hydrated in summer. The path is wide enough for strollers. Since insects may appear near the river depending on the season, insect repellent can make the walk more comfortable.

Best time to visit

About 40 minutes. The shade is pleasant and easy to walk through even during hours of strong sunlight
