About this spot

This historic site is said to have been the location of the castle of the Iwakura Oda clan, who ruled this region during the Sengoku period. Although none of the original buildings remain today, information boards and a monument allow visitors to trace the history of this region, which is deeply connected to Oda Nobunaga. Despite its small scale, it is an essential spot for understanding the origins of the town of Iwakura.
