Since venue vendors become crowded from evening onward on festival day, it's wise to pick up supplies here with ample time. You can also use this time to find children's goods and souvenirs.

新潟まつりのクライマックスを飾る花火大会で、信濃川河畔の昭和大橋周辺を会場に、2026年8月9日(日)19時20分から20時20分にかけて開催されます。日本一の大河・信濃川を舞台に夜空へ打ち上げられる花火は、広大な川面に映り込む光の帯とともに、都市型の花火大会ならではのスケールと美しさを見せてくれます。新潟まつりは住吉行列・民謡流し・花火大会の三本柱で構成される新潟最大の夏祭りであり、花火大会はその締めくくりにふさわしい華やかさを持ちます。川沿いに吹く夜風の中で見上げる1時間は、夏の新潟の記憶として長く残ることでしょう。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は新潟まつり実行委員会の公式発表で確認してください。終了後は周辺道路と公共交通が大変混み合います。会場から新潟駅方面へは、フィナーレ直後を避けてしばらく河川敷で余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめ。帰りのバスや電車の時刻は事前に確認しておきましょう。足元が暗い箇所があるため、スマートフォンのライトを活用して安全に帰路へ。

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from Bandai Bridge. On festival day, the area becomes increasingly crowded as evening approaches, so it's safer to complete shopping before 5 PM. The Shinano River embankment viewing area is about 15–20 minutes' walk from here. Coin lockers are available at the Bandai Citai Bus Center.
