This cherry tree avenue runs for about 500 meters along the Amano River in Shinjo, Maibara City. In spring, local residents light it up at night, making it a beloved spot for enjoying the cherry blossoms both day and night. In summer, the trees along the river grow lush with leaves, letting you take a relaxed walk along the water. Its small, cozy scale is also part of the appeal, as you can stop by quietly.
Tips
Just under a 10-minute drive from Seiganji Temple. Since flowering conditions vary by timing, it's best to visit without overly high expectations and instead enjoy its simple, understated charm.
Best time to visit
About 30 minutes. Even in midsummer there is shade from the trees, making it a good spot for a short rest.
