An ancient temple connected to Sasaki Dōyō (known as a "Basara daimyo"), a general who flourished during the Northern and Southern Courts period. Dōyō's grave is said to be located within the temple grounds. The serene grounds, nestled in the rural hills, are a perfect introduction to Kōra Town's history for families interested in the past. The well-maintained grounds throughout the year are ideal for a quiet walk.

甲良町の日吉神社の境内で、地域の人々によって代々受け継がれてきた夏の盆踊り行事です。2026年は8月21日に開催予定。太鼓の音を合図に、地元の子どもから大人までが輪になって踊る様子は、都市部の大きな祭りとはひと味違う、里山の集落ならではの温かい一体感にあふれています。世代を超えて受け継がれてきた踊りの型を、実際に輪に加わって体験できるのもこの祭りの魅力です。

神社周辺は道幅が狭い箇所があるため、駐車場の案内に従ってゆっくり運転しましょう。開催時間は年により変動することがあるため、当日は地域の掲示や案内で確認するのが確実です。夜は虫が多くなるため、虫よけ対策をお忘れなく。

There is a parking area near the temple. Some parts of the grounds are not paved, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Since this is a quiet temple, please keep your voice low while viewing.
