This ancient temple is associated with Sasaki Doyo, a warlord active during the Nanboku-cho period known as a 'basara daimyo,' and his grave is said to be located on the temple grounds. Nestled in the satoyama countryside, its quiet precincts make a perfect entry point for history-loving families to learn about the background of Koura Town. The well-maintained grounds are pleasant for a quiet stroll in any season.

Tips

There is parking near the temple grounds. Some areas within the grounds are unpaved, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Since this is a quiet temple, please keep your voice down while visiting.
