This free dog run is attached to the grounds of Roadside Station Seseragi no Sato Koura. It can also be rented out privately for a fee, and the stone-oven pizza shop on the same grounds even sells pizza for dogs. A direct-sales stand offering seasonal produce and local processed goods, as well as a multi-purpose plaza, are right next door, so you can let your dog play while you shop. It's also an easy spot to stop by for a quick break during a summer day.
Tips
Just under a 10-minute drive from Shorakuji Temple. Some sections have little shade, so a hat or parasol is reassuring during the hottest hours. Watch your footing when approaching the waterway.
Best time to visit
About 50 minutes. Early afternoon, when a pleasant breeze crosses the water, is recommended.
