This historic shrine, representative of Inukami District, has long been revered for its deities of longevity and matchmaking. Affectionately known as 'Otaga-san,' its spacious grounds are dotted with highlights such as a historic main hall and the Taiko Bridge, associated with the warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Just a short drive from Koura Town, it's a fitting stop for praying for safe travels and a lively festival that evening.
Tips
About a 15-minute drive from Roadside Station Seseragi no Sato Koura. Souvenir shops and eateries line the approach to the shrine, so if you have time, a stroll around is also enjoyable.
