A memorial hall built to honor Natsume Soseki, who was connected to Otema, and other local figures. Though a small building, it conveys how much this land was chosen as a literary setting and how deeply the local people take pride in their history. Venue: 玉名市天水町・草枕温泉てんすい
夏目漱石ゆかりの地・小天温泉に隣接する「草枕温泉てんすい」を会場に開かれる、地域の夏の風物詩です。2026年は8月1日開催で、時間ははっきり決まっていないものの、19時から21時ごろにかけてが最もにぎわうピーク。境内や広場には屋台が並び、夕食代わりに食べ歩きを楽しめます。日が落ちて提灯に灯がともると、浴衣姿の家族連れや地元の人たちで会場は一気に活気づき、フィナーレには夜空を彩る花火が打ち上がります。有明海を望む温泉のまちならではの、涼やかで穏やかな夏祭りの夜です。
Tips
会場周辺の駐車場は混み合うため、時間に余裕を持って向かいましょう。屋台は現金での支払いが基本なので小銭を用意しておくと安心です。荒天時は開催内容が変更になる場合があるため、最新情報の確認がおすすめです。
