Panoramic Views of the Castle Town from the Ruins of the Daisho-ji Clan's Residential Castle
About this spot
This park has been developed on the mountain where the Daisho-ji clan, a branch of the Kaga clan governing one hundred thousand koku, had their residential castle. Earth ramparts and curved defensive fortifications still remain. From the ruins of the main citadel at the top of the lush mountain trail, you can see the entire castle town of Daisho-ji and truly experience this once-central seat of clan power. The park, with its beautiful natural scenery throughout the seasons, is a pleasant place to walk through the clear autumn air.
