About this spot

A striking rock formation about 28 m tall, rising from the coast off Suzu City. Its resemblance to a battleship has earned it the affectionate nickname 'Battleship Island,' and it's known as one of the Noto Peninsula's leading scenic spots. From the water's edge, you can view the island's powerful form up close, and the contrast between the blue sea and white rock makes for a fantastic photo spot. It's a classic Suzu sightseeing spot, perfect for a family photo. Before tonight's fireworks display, start by feeling the grandeur of the Suzu coastline.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from the venue in Iida-machi. A promenade and parking lot are set up around the island. Sunlight can be strong in summer, so a hat or sun protection will put your mind at ease.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. From morning through early afternoon, when sunlight is strong, the blue of the sea stands out.
