福井駅周辺の電車通りを中心に、市街地一帯で繰り広げられる福井最大級の夏祭りです。太鼓の音や音楽に合わせて多くの踊り手たちが練り歩く総おどりは、街全体を巻き込む一体感が魅力で、沿道からは誰でも自由にその熱気を楽しめます。夜が更けるにつれて提灯や照明に照らされた通りはいっそう華やかになり、福井の夏を締めくくるにふさわしい賑わいを見せます。家族連れも多く、子どもと一緒に沿道から見物するだけでも十分に祭りの雰囲気を味わえます。
Tips
会場周辺は歩行者天国となり大変混雑するため、ベビーカーは人の少ない位置を選ぶと安心です。会場までの道は交通規制がかかることが多いので、公共交通機関の利用がおすすめです。荒天時の開催可否は主催者の発表で確認しましょう。
