About this spot

This shrine, deeply connected to Tsuruga's history, sits partway up Mt. Kanegasaki. From its grounds you can look out over Tsuruga Port and the townscape, offering a calm moment unique to a quiet hilltop. It's also known as a cherry blossom spot, but visiting during the greener seasons is equally pleasant. It's a recommended place to rest a little and prepare your mood for the festival ahead as evening approaches.

Tips

It's convenient to travel by car from Tsuruga Station. There is a gentle uphill slope leading to the shrine grounds, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
