Spend a quiet moment at the castle ruins that watched over Wakasa's port town
About this spot
The site of a castle where the Obama Domain's administrative center stood during the Edo period. Today, it is preserved as a historic site with some stone walls remaining. Its seaside location hints at its role as a strategic stronghold protecting both the port and castle town. While no grand structures remain, the solid presence of the stone walls and the tranquil seaside atmosphere quietly tell the story of Wakasa's history.
