About this spot

This charming local-line station still retains its wooden building constructed in the Taisho era. Having grown alongside the region's history, the station's appearance is popular among photography enthusiasts, and a relaxed atmosphere lingers here. Its unusual name, Saidosho, meaning a copper mining site, reflects the area's past as a copper-producing region, a history also connected to Seishiden Hall, the next stop on this course.

Tips

It is convenient to travel by car from Kawara Shrine. As this is a station still in active use, please be mindful not to disturb passengers while visiting.

Best time to visit

About 45 minutes. Visiting around train arrival and departure times adds to the atmosphere
