About this spot

This building stands along Paseo-dori (パセオ通り, also called Paseo 470), a street running through central Fukushima City. This community road was redeveloped for shared pedestrian and vehicle use over its 470-meter stretch from the Honcho intersection to Mansei-cho, paved with granite cobblestones in 1989, and lined with benches, street trees, six sculptures, and a clock tower along the sidewalk. Shops and restaurants line the street, and it becomes lively from the evening on the day of the festival. It's a convenient location - once you've had something to eat, you can walk straight to Shinobu-dori, the main festival venue.

Tips

Crowds increase from the evening on the day of the festival, so it's a good idea to have your meal early. It's also close to Fukushima Station, making it convenient to visit by train.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. Early in the 5 p.m. hour, it's easy to get a table before the dinner-time crowds start.
